Important Notes

Welcome to Naledi Casting - Please Note the Following:

1. Location Requirement: You must live no more than 45 minutes away from Cape Town or Johannesburg, as most shoots happen in these areas.
2. Short Intro Video: Please send a quick 5-second video introducing yourself. Just say: “Hi, my name is [your name] and I want to do TV work because…”
3. All Ages & Looks Welcome: Naledi Casting welcomes people of all ages, looks, and backgrounds — everyone is welcome to apply.
4. Availability for Shoots: Auditions, callbacks, wardrobe fittings, and shoot days usually happen during the week.
   • A full day on set is 10 to 12 hours for adults.
   • Children’s hours vary depending on age and shoot type.
5. Legal Requirement for Children: All children under 16 need a consent letter signed by a parent or guardian. We will send this to you to sign — it is then submitted to the South African Labour Department for approval.
6. Skills & Self-Tapes:
   • Let us know if you play any sports or do physical activities regularly.
   • Please send a clear selfie and your intro video as mentioned above.
7. Profession (if any): Please include your current job or profession — e.g., nurse, teacher, waiter — as we’re often asked for real professionals for certain shoots.
8. Monthly Website Fee: There is a small R50 monthly fee to be listed on our website.
   • We’ll submit you for Extras work.
   • If you’re interested in featured roles (with auditions), we’ll also add you to www.djssa.com for additional opportunities.
